Schaller humimeter PMZ – Cellulose Moisture Meter for Pulp Sheets

The humimeter PMZ enables rapid inspection of pulp sheets directly in the stack. It is therefore not necessary to remove individual sheets for moisture determination. In this way, the water content can be determined in a few seconds during order picking, packaging or when the goods are received. The meter allows automatic averaging of whole books, deliveries and batches.

Immediately after inserting the double electrodes into the stacked sheets, the water content and the temperature of the pulp are shown on the display.

The humimeter PMZ measuring device is suitable for the following products: pulp, dissolving pulp, long-fiber pulp, short-fiber pulp, hardwood pulp, softwood pulp, sulfite pulp, sulphate pulp, pulp bales, pulp plates, pulp sheets.

Allocation to the current batch number can already be carried out in the device. The measurement data can then be transferred via the PC evaluation software LogMemorizer via USB or Bluetooth and made available as a csv export for your QS system, for example.

Handling and measurement process

Turn on the meter, choose the right curve (depending on the fiber type) and insert the meter into the heap. The measurement result is immediately shown on the display. This enables large amounts of pulp to be measured in a very short time without removing individual layers from the pile.
The device has a memory for up to 10.000 readings and the option of recording additional data, such as a batch number. The device automatically calculates the average value for each saved series of measurements. The gauge has two sturdy electrodes that need to be plugged into the stake.
On the back of the device is a removable handle for easy use of the device.
You can transfer the measurement results to a PC via the optionally available USB interface and archive, evaluate, export or print them with the PC software LogMemorizer.
