The CTex LT inherits the superior optical performance of the standard CT LT series. Featuring a spectral range of 8‑14 µm, it is ideally suited for measuring materials with high emissivity, such as plastics, coatings, textiles, and food products. With a wide temperature measurement range from -50 °C to 975 °C and a high optical resolution (distance-to-spot ratio) of up to 22:1, it guarantees accurate readings even on small or distant targets. The sensor head is rated for ambient temperatures up to 180 °C, ensuring stability in harsh conditions.
Flexibility in integration is a key strength. The pyrometer supports various analog and digital outputs, including industry-standard protocols, like Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP. Configuration is straightforward and license-free using the compactConnect PC software or the IR mobile App for Android devices. A range of accessory lenses enables optimization for any installation, while options such as air purge units and cooling housings maintain performance in demanding environments.

The Optris CT series pyrometer places safety at the forefront, particularly in hazardous environments. The explosion-proof version, CTex LT, is equipped with Zener double barriers, specially designed for areas prone to explosions. This feature ensures secure operation, adding an extra layer of protection for comprehensive remote temperature monitoring solutions. Additionally, the CT LTex sensing head can be passively installed in hazardous areas, further enhancing safety measures with energy limitation through approved zener barriers (STAHL) for zone 1.

Featuring a two-piece design, the CT series incorporates one of the world’s smallest infrared sensors, offering an impressive optical resolution of up to 22:1 and a rapid exposure time as low as 150 ms. This design is optimized for efficient monitoring of fast-paced manufacturing processes across various industries.
