The Ecotest RKS-01 STORA-ABG is a high-precision search radiometer-dosimeter engineered for real-time detection and localization of alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray radiation sources. Equipped with an advanced mica-window Geiger-Muller counter featuring a large effective surface area of 13.8 cm², the device ensures exceptional sensitivity across a wide energy spectrum. An integrated energy-compensating filter delivers accurate ambient dose equivalent rate (DER) measurement of photon ionizing radiation from 12 keV up to 3 MeV.
Designed for field operation, the instrument includes an extendable telescopic pole reaching up to 143 cm, enabling safe radiation measurement at remote distances. The instrument automatically subtracts gamma background during beta measurements and subtracts combined gamma-beta background when measuring alpha surface contamination. Up to 1000 measurement logs can be stored in non-volatile memory and transmitted wirelessly to a PC for official reporting and analysis.
