Right of Withdrawal and Return of Goods

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union directives on consumer protection, strict rules apply on our website for the return and exchange of industrial equipment.

Important legal division (B2C and B2B):

Private Individuals (Consumers): who purchase devices for personal use (not related to business or professional activity) have the legal right to return goods of appropriate quality within 14 days without giving any reason.

Legal Entities (Companies / B2B): the right to a 14-day unconditional return does not apply to legal entities. Any issues of return, exchange, or completeness of equipment between companies are regulated by the Civil Law of the Republic of Latvia and the terms of the individual purchase and sale agreement.

Equipment Inspection Timelines and Claim Submission

To prevent disputes, please strictly observe the following timeframes upon receiving orders:

To check for hidden damage

If upon receiving the cargo you detect mechanical damage (broken body, chips, display cracks), contact us by email at office@pwmi.lv within 14 business days. The email must be sent strictly from the email address registered during checkout. Attach the invoice number and visual proof (photos or video of the defects) to your message.

⏱️ 5 days

To check completeness

The buyer is obliged to check the quantity, composition, and completeness of the received equipment within 5 business days from delivery. Claims for incomplete items (missing cables, probes, mounts, or printed instructions) after 5 days will not be accepted, and the product will be considered accepted without objection.

Requirements for Returned Goods

To qualify for a full refund, the device must be returned in perfect commercial condition:

  • Full Completeness: The product must be returned with all original accessories, cables, protective cases, manuals, and warranty cards that came with it.
  • Factory Condition: There must be no signs of use or wear on the device. Protective films on displays, factory seals, and labels must be intact.

⚠️ Strict Packaging Requirements:

The product must be packed in the original factory box, which is part of the commercial value of the device. It is strictly forbidden to stick tape, write, or place transport labels of courier services (Venipak, DPD, UPS) directly onto the original Leybold or Guide box. You are required to pack the device in an outer protective shipping box with a sufficient amount of shock-absorbing material.

✅ CORRECT:

The device box is placed inside a larger outer shipping box. The empty space is filled with protective material (bubble wrap, styrofoam). Transport tape is applied only to the outer box.

❌ INCORRECT:

Sticking courier labels or applying tape directly onto the original Leybold or Guide factory box. The factory packaging is damaged. Such a return will be rejected!

PWMI Group is not responsible for damages to the device caused by improper packaging during return shipping. If the original box or the device itself is damaged, the return will be rejected.

Non-Returnable Items

In accordance with EU e-commerce rules, the following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Specialized software for devices, if the protective packaging was opened or the license key was activated;
  • Consumables (chemical gas sensors, filters, calibration liquids, cartridges), if their original sealed packaging has been compromised;
  • Batteries and accumulators with opened blister packaging.

Return and Refund Procedure

  1. Submission of Application: Send a written request to office@pwmi.lv, specify the invoice number, and request an official product return form.
  2. Shipping of Equipment: Deliver the device in person or send it by courier service to: Valmieras iela, 3-3, Rīga, LV-1009, Latvia.
  3. Logistics Costs: All direct expenses for the return transportation of equipment to the Seller are fully covered by the Buyer. If only part of a complex order is returned, the initial delivery cost from the store to the client is not reimbursed.
  4. Refund of Money: After the device is received by our warehouse and a technical inspection is carried out, the funds will be returned to the Buyer's bank account (from which the payment was made) within 14 days.
