PDF Instruction 1

The Ecotest BDBG-T is an advanced gamma radiation detection unit designed for high-performance radiation monitoring in demanding environments. Equipped with two modern YSO(Ce) scintillation detectors with silicon photomultipliers (SiPM), the unit delivers a level of sensitivity an order of magnitude higher than conventional Geiger-Muller based systems. It utilizes sophisticated spectrum-to-dose conversion algorithms to accurately compute the ambient dose equivalent rate H*(10) across an exceptionally wide dynamic range.

Engineered for seamless integration into complex automated systems, the BDBG-T features an RS-485 digital interface and low power consumption under 30 mA. Its ruggedized housing with an IP67 ingress protection rating guarantees flawless performance under severe mechanical stress, extreme temperatures ranging from -40 to +70 degrees Celsius, and direct exposure to water or dust.

Scope of Application

  • Mobile robotic platforms operating in hazardous CBRN areas
  • Specialized reconnaissance and emergency response vehicles
  • Automated continuous radiation monitoring systems (ARMS)
  • Perimeter security at nuclear power plants and industrial facilities
  • Radiation control posts at border security checkpoints
