The humimeter FSW The whole grain moisture meter is a powerful device for the precise determination of moisture content and hectoliter weight for use in agriculture, trade, seed breeding, and the food and feed industries. The humimeter is particularly suitable FSW for measurement directly in the field.
This universally applicable measuring device is ideal for grains such as corn, wheat, durum wheat, rye, barley, oats, soybeans, rapeseed, hulled spelt, spelt in the husk, unhulled buckwheat, triticale, millet, and sorghum, as well as sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, unhulled and hulled rice, field peas, broad beans, lentils, and roasted coffee. Other varieties are available upon request.
The measured values can be saved via the moisture meter's integrated data logger, provided with additional information and retrieved later.
In order to increase the measurement accuracy and reproducibility of the whole grain moisture tester, the measurement is carried out with hectoliter compensation. The filling funnel, which is also included in the scope of delivery, enables clean work. The moisture measurements are output with temperature compensation and firmware updates and characteristic curve updates can be carried out very easily using the integrated USB interface. The data can be sent directly to an optionally available portable thermal printer (ONLINE function).
The moisture meter FSW is adjusted according to the following reference methods:
- EN ISO 6540 for corn
- EN ISO 665 for oilseeds
- EN ISO 712 for grain
- EN ISO 24557 for legumes and beans
Benefits
- fast measurement of humidity, hectoliters and temperature
- robust steel housing
- reduces drying costs
- for all products and end products
- prevents quality deterioration and mold infestation
Handling and measurement process
In order to achieve precise measurement results, the material being measured should have approximately the same temperature as the device. After automatic adjustment and selection of the desired characteristic curve, the measurement process can begin. The filling funnel provided enables the measuring chamber to be filled cleanly. This should be filled flat; any remaining material can be easily removed using the movable part of the filling funnel. Within seconds of starting the measurement, the measured value is displayed and can be saved on the device.
Take advantage of the non-destructive measurement method, which takes seconds, and perform multiple measurements of the same sample. The device automatically calculates the average value when the individual measured values are saved.
