Schaller humimeter SLW – Professional Textile Moisture Meter

• Moisture meter for determining the water content or the residual moisture content of textiles, fabrics, yarns, wool and many other products such as yarn spools, rolls of fabric, natural fabrics, synthetic fibers, wool, cotton, viscose, polyamide and many more.
  The measuring device can be used for measurements in the production process as well as for finished products.

  The water content of fabrics and yarns has a major impact on tear strength and elasticity. With the SLW moisture meter you can determine the water content within a few seconds and control and guarantee the quality of your products.

  The device is also often used to check garments and textiles before packaging, for example in laundries, in order to prevent mould or odour development due to excessive moisture.

  The measuring device shows the water content immediately as soon as the measuring tips touch the textile. Based on the characteristics stored in the device, the current water content of the selected material is shown on the display. A conversion using tables is therefore not necessary.

Handling and measurement process

After switching on and selecting the appropriate calibration curve (e.g. wool, polyester, acetate, ...), insert the measuring tips into the material or press the surface electrode onto the material to be measured. The display immediately shows the absolute humidity. The average water content can be determined immediately by taking various measurements in different areas of the material.

The measuring principle of conductance measurement promises long-term stable and very precise measurement results. The measuring method uses a high-frequency measuring signal that is precisely tailored to the measurement of fabrics, yarns and textile fibers.

Benefit from fast and accurate measurement method and optimise your drying costs as well as servicing times by detecting eventual moisture fluctuations or moisture spots in time. The measuring values can be stored on the device, further information like batch number can be added. Via the optional USB interface the measuring values can be transferred to a PC, and via LogMemorizer ® PC software the data can be archived, exported, processed or printed out.
