Description
The compact Testo 606-2 moisture meter is a dual-purpose professional instrument designed to measure material moisture content along with ambient environmental parameters. Equipped with high-precision ram electrodes, it determines the moisture of various wood types and building materials via pre-programmed characteristic curves, displaying values directly as a weight percentage. Additionally, its integrated capacitive sensor measures relative humidity and air temperature, enabling automatic calculations of dew point and wet bulb temperature to ensure optimal drying and storage conditions.
Industry Applications
- Building Inspection & Construction: Monitoring drying processes in concrete, cement screed, plaster, and brickwork to prevent structural risks.
- Woodworking & Timber Storage: Checking various timber types (beech, oak, pine, spruce) before processing to avoid wrapping or cracking.
- Facility Management: Identifying localized damp spots and assessing ventilation efficiency to prevent structural mold development.
