The modern KDU-6BM monitoring system by Ecotest is an advanced naval radiation safety solution designed to replace obsolete Soviet KDU-6B units. Installed as part of a vessel life-support system, it performs continuous measurement of ambient dose equivalent rate (DER) of gamma radiation from natural background levels up to 10^7 uSv/h.
Featuring four intelligent BDBG-6BM detection units instead of two, the system provides high measurement accuracy and allows operators to precisely determine the direction to the radiation source. The central BK concentrator unit includes tricolor digital displays, RS-485 communication, and automatic seamless switching between primary and backup power supplies.
