PDF Instruction 1
The Ecotest MKS-UM is a heavy-duty, multi-purpose professional radiation reconnaissance device engineered for complex field operations under extreme environmental conditions. Compliant with international military and industrial standards MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F, IEC 60846, and IEC 60325, this instrument precise-measures alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray radiation levels across vast dynamic ranges from background to severe emergency limits.
Featuring high-grade protection ratings (control unit IP56, detection probes IP57, protective transport case IP67), the MKS-UM system integrates an advanced non-volatile memory logging up to 1,500 measurements complete with geographic GPS tracking coordinates. Collected measurement logs are effortlessly transferred to a PC via an infrared IrDA port using the included EventReader software. Integrated energy-independent scintillation and Geiger-Muller counters without fold-back counter characteristics ensure ultra-reliable radiation mapping.
The system is powered by an internal rechargeable Li-Ion battery featuring versatile recharge capabilities via an integrated solar panel, standard 12V vehicle battery, or 220V AC mains. Designed for tactical versatility, users can seamlessly operate the control panel and probe handles while wearing heavy personal chemical/biological rubber protection gloves.
Application Scenarios
- Tactical military radiation reconnaissance and civil defense field operations.
- Environmental monitoring and emergency mapping in nuclear disaster zones.
- Radiological assessment of scrap metal, industrial materials, and cargo.
- Alpha, beta, and gamma surface contamination screening of personnel and equipment.
- Scientific research, radiological laboratory surveillance, and industrial safety compliance.
- Boundary protection and customs radiological inspection points.
