PDF Instruction 1
The Ecotest BDBG-09SW is a high-precision, submersible gamma radiation detection unit designed for continuous automated radiation monitoring in natural and artificial bodies of water. Housed in a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant stainless steel enclosure with an IP68 ingress protection rating, this instrument operates reliably at submersion depths of up to 20 meters. It integrates a hybrid detector architecture combining a high-sensitivity CsI(Tl) scintillator paired with a silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) alongside a wide-range Geiger-Muller counter to cover an expansive measurement span.
Designed for industrial and municipal automated radiation monitoring systems (ARMS), the BDBG-09SW transmits calibrated measurement data and 1024-channel amplitude spectrum information via an industrial RS-485 interface. Built-in continuous self-testing and real-time statistical error output guarantee uncompromised data integrity and operational reliability during long-term field deployments.
Application Scope
- Real-time automated radiological monitoring of rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and coastal sea zones.
- Environmental radiation monitoring at industrial water discharge points near nuclear power plants and research facilities.
- Water quality protection and continuous monitoring at municipal hydro-technical facilities and drinking water intakes.
- Underwater ecological surveys and radiological hazard mapping following industrial contamination events.
