Triple Point of Argon System Fluke 5960A
Description
The Triple Point of Argon System Fluke 5960A is a primary ITS-90 calibration standard designed for national metrology institutes and high-precision calibration laboratories. Delivering an expanded uncertainty of just 0.25 mK at -189.3442 °C, the Fluke 5960A utilizes 99.9999% ultra-pure argon gas sealed in a dedicated cell. Featuring a 480 mm total immersion depth and four independent entrant wells, this system allows simultaneous calibration of up to four standard platinum resistance thermometers (SPRTs) over a stable temperature plateau lasting more than 30 hours.
Application Scope
Engineered for primary calibration laboratories and national metrology facilities:
- Realizing the fundamental triple point of argon defining fixed point (-189.3442 °C) under the ITS-90 temperature scale
- Simultaneous high-precision calibration of up to four standard platinum resistance thermometers (SPRTs)
- Maintaining ultra-stable cryogenic reference conditions for metrological research and quality assurance
